So, there's good news and bad. Naturally, we're going to start with the former. A month after we spotted this character sneaking around at Mobile World Congress, LG has finally taken the (official) wraps off of its incoming WCP-700 Wireless Charging Pad. It's a pretty familiar design -- a slim (6.29- x 3.54- x 0.39-inch) inductive charging pad with a battery of LEDs to let you know the current status of things. We're guessing this guy is designed to work initially with the Verizon-bound Revolution, but given that LG makes no mention of what phones / cases will eventually be compatible, it'll have to remain just that for now. As for the bad news? Well, aside from not knowing what exactly this unit is for (in terms of compatibility), we're also left in the dark when it comes to pricing and a ship date. But hey, at least we've got a trio of high resolution images to gawk at.

Update: Fulton Innovation has just confirmed that LG is using its Qi-compliant eCoupled technology for the charging pad.

adobe flash player adobe readerJust recently, new critical vulnerabilities were reported in Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader. While Google and Adobe managed to deliver an update to secure Chrome users, it took a few more days to put together the necessary bits for the general Flash and Reader using public.

Fortunately, the work is now complete, and Adobe has posted updated downloads for both products. You should be notified via the Adobe Updater that a new version is available, but you can always download manually as well. We'd recommend doing so immediately rather than waiting on a notification.

You can find the updated Flash Player and Reader downloads on Adobe's site, and Windows versions are available on Filehippo (Reader and Flash) as well.

If you're in the market for a big truck, why not buy the UFC heavyweight champ's ride? It's for sale on eBay.

The Ford F-150 is up for $44K, and has just over 12,000 miles on it with a custom grill, heated seats, a spray-on bed liner and ginormous tires. No word on if the power to knock out Brock Lesnar is standard or optional equipment.

Velasquez tweeted that he's planning to get a Raptor to replace his current ride. He has time to go carshopping these days as he rehabs a shoulder injury that prevented him from defending the belt against Junior dos Santos.

You had to know this was coming. Apple, which is already engaged in a heated battle with Microsoft for the protection of its "App Store" trademark, has filed suit against Amazon for its "improper use" of the same. Amazon's Android Appstore seems to have been intentionally contracted to a single word to differentiate its name, but that difference isn't enough for Apple, which has asked a California court to grant a ruling preventing Amazon's use of the moniker and asking for unspecified damages. Apple claims it reached out to Amazon on three separate occasions asking it to rename its software download offering, but when faced with the lack of a "substantive response," it decided to take things to court. Its big task remains unchanged -- proving that the term App Store is something more than a generic descriptor -- and this was a somewhat inevitable move given Amazon's choice of name. The legal maneuvering, as always, continues.

Throughout AT&T's T-Mobile acquisition explainer this morning, the number repeated most often was 95%. That's the amount of LTE coverage that execs repeatedly promised their T-Mobile purchase would bring to the US. It's a number that's appealing to consumers—and, AT&T hopes, regulators—but don't get too excited quite yet. More »

hulu app for androidAndroid users who have been waiting for Hulu to release an app for their devices now have an official light at the end of the tunnel. Hulu has updated the page listing its supported devices for Hulu Plus -- which now includes "select Android 2.2 devices." That's all Hulu is sharing for now. There's no release date posted and the "select devices" aren't listed. We'll fill you in as soon as those details become available.

In the meantime, if you just can't wait, you can always access Hulu on your Android device using PlayOn.

The audience at a panel discussing challenges and opportunities from a global IT security perspective Wednesday at the IT Security Entrepreneurs' Forum was nodding off until question time, when Jody Westby blasted the panelists. She accused them of not sticking to the topic and suggested they focus more on the issues. "The issue is a legal one," Westby said.
